I don't believe I'm over stepping my bounds at all. I made a suggestion to Bloppy as a comment to the last blog post that addresses concerns I've been seeing by members and contributors over the last few months.
He said he wasn't apposed to it.
Therefore, I went ahead and made a couple changes to the submission rules, but I'm not sure if they stuck or not. (I don't know the limitations of my powers here, but I gave it a shot anyway. If nothing stuck it's because my power is actually less than I thought.)
-Contributors can now submit their work without a required vote.
-The post limit for Contributors have been upped to 2 a day.
-Members can now submit their work WITH the required vote.
I hope this appeases the majority of everyone!

The shit winds are blowing
Had a few entries today, the pizza one was the only comic that made it through. I want to remind everyone that when submitting at ComicStripClub we are mainly looking for short self sustaining comics with a punchline. Reader's shouldn't have to know all the previous comics in the series or the inner workings of the character's mind before they can get the joke. If the reader stumbled upon this single panel and never saw another one, would they get it? Would they have any idea what the fuck is going on? If you're doing a series, consider doing a separate project with self contained jokes for submission here, and maybe that will get throug
Well that's upsetting
I'm really ashamed of what this group has devolved into, but I can't blame anyone but myself for not being here. I have to thank RandyRaven for doing what he could. It has been a while since either of us have been here, but I am back and ready to pound some asses. A few comics being submitted recently were so terrible, that I had to ban the users for being this way. I cleaned up the featured folder a bit and got rid of the irrelevant submissions. For now, the submission guidelines have changed to 1 a week for members, and 1 a day for contributors. Thanks to those of you that actually get it and make relevant sub

It's time to steer this group back on course. And maybe make a comic or two. I think we could all use a laff after recent events.
RAPID CONTRIBUTOR APPLICATION WEEK or something
CUM ONE CUM ALL! We are looking for fresh meat that draws comics and makes other meat shake with laughter! If you apply as a contributor this week your application will only require ONE vote instead of the usual four. Bring your comics and show at least one person you can make them laugh, and you will get to do it over, and over, and over, and over until you DIE. Those with Contributor status get to bypass voting when submitting to the gallery!

i guess time will tell, i think we've been selective enough with the contributors so far so i dont think this will hurt the quality we were sustaining although some got voted down. what i would ask of contributors and members alike is that they really take a look at their works now and say you know, is this a finished product, is it original, is it gonna make people want to visit you.
Im wondering at what stage we can start doing contests so that there are a decent amount of entries and participation. a hundred members isnt a lot but it is a start. we have still been steadily gaining.
